Audi Aztec - one of these used to be on sale near my home back in HK a few years ago. Never seen one up close though.

Initially the concept (as if this isn’t one) had dual drive, but for production (if you can call it that) they decided to give it only one set of controls, although the passenger has the same instruments.

It’s a Halda Rally Computer-e - essentially a customisable tripmeter for rallying depending on the setup of the car. Audi used them in their Group B rally cars.
The digital dash behind the computer may be identical to the one used in the roadgoing Audi Quattro.

I like the idea of printing the entire owner’s manual on the exterior of the vehicle. I wonder why that’s never really caught on...

It’s a Halda Rally Computer-e - Audi used them in their Group B Quattros, so I wouldn’t be surprised they used this funky looking gadget in a concept car.

Actually, the numbers on the side are the code sequences you enter on the keypad on the side to access different compartments or features.

I have seen one of these twice. One was in a Finnish car show in mid 90's. I have a picture of it but I haven’t scanned it. Two years ago I saw one (other?) in Autoworld (Bruxelles).
